Happy to share that today Jan 30th, 2008 TheBizofCoding officially crossed the 100,000 Page View mark. I started this blog in 2006 March and have had a fantastic time writing this journal, sharing my thoughts and reading your comments. My heartfelt thanks for taking time to read my posts and respond with your thoughts, comments and ideas!
1) Slashdot is bigger than Digg in the quality of Traffic and Readers. After my blog post on Social Network Aggregation reached Slashdot more readers took on for RSS Feeds and there were around 70 comments on Slashdot itself. At Digg there were close to 200 votes but not much pickup via RSS Feeds. From my long study I strongly feel that Digg is gamed now. If you are not one in the inner circle, your links and posts wont get votes. Its not a hate post against Digg or any specific user -- just my observation.
2) Top 3 Blog Posts on your Blog will bring and build over 70% of the audience. I have listed below some of the most read posts on this blog and these continue to get a lot of traffic via Google Search.
3) You *never* know that you are writing a Top 3 Blog Post or a Jackpost Blog Post in terms of Traffic/Readership/Engagement. Example When I wrote the post on Social Network Aggregation or Online Ad models bothering Microsoft I had no idea about the traction these posts will have with readers.
4) When you seriously start writing a post, you learn a *lot* about the subject during writing the post. Thats a major reason to start blogging. Because the before and after of a post are fairly different states of knowing.
5) You will *discover* a lot more valuable information / content when you blog by the simple act of trying to clarify your own thoughts and looking for relevant data, stats or references. This is another big reason to start blogging!
Some of the most read and commented posts have been:

In total I have written about 280 posts and the blog has around 220 RSS Feed readers -- almost 1 per post! That gladdens me, because although I like to take time to write my posts the audience of TheBizofCoding keeps coming back and is engaged. Recents trends in usage of Visitors, Browsers and OS:
- Top 3 Visitors lately have come from USA, India, and UK
- FireFox 2.x is used by around 50% of readers, Followed by IE 7.x by 20% and IE 6.x by 18%
- 65% readers have WinXP, 7% have WinNT, only 5% have VISTA. 14% readers of TheBizofCoding use MacOSX and around 6% use LINUX.
BTW: TheBizofCoding got listed in the Best Tech & Web 2.0 blogs in India last year. I have also seen Posts being used in Industry and even Academic Research Articles e.g Berkeley.edu and thats most satisfying :)
