Yahoo! is hosting an Open Hack Day in at its Bangalore office from Oct 5-6, 2007. Only a select number of 200 developers would be Invited. You would need to apply here and then wait to see if you get invited to this cool event. So hurry!
This is an opportunity for hackers in India to network and build some cool stuff with other hackers. Bandwidth, food, and fun all will be under a single roof -- all you have to do is hang out and hack for 24 hours beginning at 12:00 midnight Oct 5. There will be experts who can help answer questions while you're building your hack and in pure Yahoo! style there will be a party after all the hacking is done.
After the hacking mania is over everyone will get a chance to demo what they've made and have a chance to win cool prizes. (I will update this post with the expected prizes as soon as I get the scoop from the organizers.) All participants can be sure to pick a cool goodie bag!
Bradley Horowitz, VP of Products at Yahoo! and writer of a well read blog Elatable, is also planning to attend the Bangalore Open Hack Day. Here is a link to browse some hacks and the winners of the Yahoo! Open Hack Day in Sunnyvale, California, USA and London, UK.
Go Yodel!
