IndianPad Page on Wikipedia - Deletion Request!

Active IndianPad user Avaksi posted information about IndianPad on Wikipedia. Good Work. There is an ongoing thread on whether IndianPad should be a part of the Wikipedia Encyclopedia as "someone" requested for speedy deletion of this article. Under what reason? It seems The article on IndianPad:

is an article about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or website that does not assert the importance or significance of the subject.

What crap! The fact that IndianPad *is important* as a separate social news site focused on India and the Indian Subcontinent is not enough? Avaksi also posted as a reference my Q&A with IndianPad Founder -- where I have highlighted IndianPad as the Digg of India. Yes, IndianPad is smaller in traffic compared to Digg but not less important. Ask India focused bloggers. I know that several members of the Know More Media team are strong IndianPad supporters/users.

It seems to me that this is either the handywork of a jealous competitor or just someone who has no clue about the value of an Indian centered social news site. Digg is too US centric. Try promoting News Articles related to the Indian Tech Scene or Bollywood there. Read any news lately that tells the Indian side of the story on the ugly war-of-words about Tech Industry in India?

IndianPaders -- Go dispute the deletion and reach out to your contacts within Wikipedia community. Thanks to Djakeel for disputing the deletion.

This is what Djakeel wrote on Wikipedia while disputing the deletion:

The site is one of the fastest growing sites in the Indian Sub-continent and is ranked among the Top 10,000 sites worldwide in Alexa and in the Top 500 sites for India.
