Google Sweeps 2007 Rankings for Top Brand, Employer & More

It seems that 2007 will be the year of Google sweeping top lists. According to Bloomberg, Google got 537 million users in March 07, surpassing both Microsoft and Yahoo!:

Google's sites had 528 million visitors worldwide in March, a 13 percent gain from the same month a year ago, ComScore Inc. said today. Microsoft had 527 million, while Yahoo had 476.3 million.  

Google is Ranked as the number 1 Employer in 2007 by FORTUNE and it is ranked 241 in FORTUNE 500 with annual revenue of US$ 10,604 million. Yahoo! recently improved its FORTUNE 500 ranking to 357 (annual revenue US $ 6,425 million) up from last years 412. It is also ranked 44th in the Top 100 Employers List from FORTUNE. eBay is ranked 383 in FORTUNE 500 with annual revenue of US $ 5,969 million.

UK based Brand Firm Millward Brown has ranked Google as the World's most powerful brand using its Brandz valuation framework (PDF). GE and Microsoft are ranked 2nd and 3rd. However, while Google gained 77% value since last year in its Brandz valuation, Microsoft lost 11%.

The Top 10 Technology Brands in Millward Brown's list are:

    1. Google (Actual Rank:1 Value Change:+77%)
    2. Microsoft (Actual Rank:3 Value Change:-11% )
    3. IBM (Actual Rank:9 Value Change:-7%)
