If you are new to blogosphere and are writing great content but are disappointed by the lack of "organic" traffic here are three sites you must try to promote your blog at:
1) Digg is a web site where you must push your internationally relevant blog post. If you are a blogger in Italy writing on a topic which is mainly of interest to Italians, posting your blog link on Digg will not help.
2) Fark is again a web site where you can post your link for an international readership.
The difference between Fark and Digg is that Fark is editorially monitored. That means your post will be reviewed by someone before it gets pushed to the community that visits Fark regularly. Digg however is different. The value of your post is decided by the community that is registered at Digg and votes for your post. Posts that don't get "voted for" fall off the "visible" front page of Digg.
3) Indian Pad is a web site specific for blog readers in India. If your post is of greater interest to blog readers in India, promote your post on Indianpad.
All three websites: Digg, Fark, and Indianpad require you to register before posting a link to your blog post. So register and find out which posts truly attract readers to your blog.
Let me know if this works for you.
