The Biz of Coding

Blog Statistics

by Ujwal Tickoo on June 7th, 2006

TheBizofCoding crossed 2000 visitors mark yesterday June 6, 2006. I started the BizOfCoding on March 10, 2006 so reaching this milestone took 88 days or about 12.5 weeks.

So total it would take 6 weeks for 1000 visitors for TheBizofCoding. We will track this and I will keep you updated on this statistic.

My first post Don’t Be Evil! — Google’s Exasperating Gaffes had pondered on the "Don’t Be Evil" motto of Google. The pondering still remains valid. Google is tending to look like another Microsoft in the making. Often we become like the very opponents we dislike. Though the original start-up goodness of Google came up recently when Google’s co-founder Sergey Brin acknowledged graciously that Google "has compromised its principles by accommodating Chinese censorship demands."

I have also noticed that Google Blog Search is very random in its indexing of my blog. Sometimes a post is picked up in the Search Index after several days. I dont know the answer. If you know why, please do leave a comment.

Lately a good amount of traffic has come from Technorati, Sphere, and Findory – mainly from Technorati.

MSN search is a random contributor to traffic and you have to register your blog at Findory, before it send traffic to your blog.

Little or no traffic has come from Blogebrity — even after this blog got listed on its C List.
