My blog reached the 3000 page views mark today May 19; exactly 6 weeks later after it crossed the 1000 page views milestone on April 3 (mentioned in my post Towards Better Blogging -- Useful Insights from My Blog).
The first 1000 page views took 3.5 weeks. By that standard it should have taken 10.5 weeks to reach 3000 page views -- it actually took a litle less -- 10 weeks to be exact.
Here are some more statistics:
- Overall the page view growth is linear for TheBizofCoding. Approximately 1000 every 3.5 weeks after 70 days of the start of the blog.
- The blog got listed on Blogebrity C List in approximately 60 days of start. Only one visitor has till now come from the link on Blogebrity.
- Approximately 90% traffic to the blog is sent by either Google Web Search or Google Blog Search ( GBS), and GBS integrated in Google Finance.
- Operating System: I noticed a peak of users having a Mac OS computer reading the blog around the release of Boot Camp and the writing of my post on April 5. As of today the OS share is 7% Mac OS, 90% Windows (XP -- 79% | 2000 -- 10% | 98 -- 1%), and 3% others. Around April 10th Mac OS users visiting the blog had reached close to 50%.
- Browsers: 64% visitors use IE 6 and 32% use Firefox.
