Blog Editors are a growing breed of software that allow you to type your blog post on your desktop even if you are not connected to the Internet. Blog editors also create an image of all your blog posts from the blog web site onto your personal computer. This means if you have a laptop and have an image of your blog website you review your posts offline while you are travelling.
Once you have typed a new post and then connect to the Internet the Blog editor "syncs" your personal computer blog image with the actual blog website -- saving you the hassel of working inside a web browser.
With a lot of hope I tested the Qumana Blog Editor version 3 on Windows XP. Though on face the product looked promising, I was unhappy with the results. I am showing a picture for my blog post on a new strategy for Apple Computer inc. as the Design Consultant to the Tech World.
I was able to easily create 2 images with Qumana of my 2 blog web sites. The Wordpress blog site was easier to download to my laptop because the author login and password for Wordpress blog is the same as what Qumana looks for to download the blog posts.
For my TheBizOfCoding blog I had difficulty. After help from Dan Smith, VP Publishing at Know More Media, I got to understand that I had to create an "API Password." Once my API password for Moveable type was done -- Qumana downloaded all my TheBizofCoding posts.
However several lines of every post were dropped off, especially those that run near a graphic. Also, Qumana tends to add several lines of irritating space between paragraphs. After going through all the hassel of download, install and getting support from Dan, I was disappointed to dropped post lines and decided not to use Qumana.
Here is a picture of the dropped lines.

I'm sorry you didn't have a great experience with Qumana. I'd be happy to chat with you about tips and tricks that might give you the results you're looking for.
