Here is my personal testimony to the Power of Blogging.
I was a reluctant believer in the power of Blogging but am a convert now. Google Web Search, Google Blog Search, Google Finance, and several other Web Resources keep driving traffic to my Blog.
Initially, I was pleasantly surprised that Google Blog Search and Google Search were sending traffic to my blog. But now there is a consistent pattern. Here is a picture of my blog post Don't be Evil! -- How big brands manage to hide truth from consumers amongst the top 5 results of a Google Web Search on Brands + Evil. The Long Tail is getting heard. I am getting heard. My opinions and thoughts can not only be shared on the internet but found by those interested -- even if they dont know me personally. Since I have started blogging regularly for 2 months now (earlier at WordPress and now at KMM); I have been surprised to find individuals not known in the real world, having conversations with me on the thoughts I have expressed in my blogs through comments.
You should begin blogging if you have useful thoughts to share and ideas to spread. To study any new subject now, I typically begin with searching and reading blogs and am constantly amazed with the depth and breadth of ideas people share in their blogs. I continue to be surprised to see experts lurking all over the web willing and eager to let me benefit from their knowledge -- that too for free! Trust me, people want to hear if you lend your useful voice. Join the gang! The Social Web is alive and kicking!
Long live the Long tail and Search Engines! :)

We've got some great Google juice here, Ujwal!
